Chen Yang

I am a postdoctoral fellow at Vision and System Design Lab of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), supervised by Prof. Kwang-Ting Cheng in 2025. Before this, I worked as postdoctoral fellow (2024-2025) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), supervised by Prof. Yixuan Yuan . I completed my PhD degree (2019-2024) at Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and my Bachelor's degree (2015-2019) at HuaZhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) .

Research Interests

My research interests include privacy-preserving medical image analysis, such as federated learning and source-free domain adaptation. My Ph.D. thesis is Towards Robust Adaptation under Various Data Access Privileges for Medical Image Analysis . Recently, I focus on dataset condensation to compress large-scale datasets and its application for federated learning.
